The main purpose of this position:

A housekeeper is a manager who plans, organizes, directs and controls all activities of the room and meeting room maintenance service, as well as laundry activities, in order to meet the needs and expectations of customers and ensure the efficiency and profitability of the service. In this sense, he manages in such a way as to create and maintain, in accordance with budgetary forecasts, a functional and productive work environment, promoting customer service.
List of main job responsibilities :

- Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of cleaning and maintenance staff based on room, hall and restaurant occupancy forecasts;
- Plan general maintenance tasks and ensure the general cleanliness of the establishment by carrying out inspection rounds as needed and ensuring follow-up action on the corrective actions noted;
- Ensure the link and communication between the rooms, housekeeping and laundry departments;
- Establish priorities and needs in terms of supply from the laundry;
- Carry out inspection of rooms and bedrooms on a regular basis;
- Plan and carry out schedules for room attendants and laundry;
- Develops and implements work tools (e.g. inspection sheet, inventories, etc.) and ensures their follow-up;
- Manage material resources (take inventories, equipment condition and required repairs);
- Manage the human resources of its departments (hiring, training, evaluation and monitoring, etc.);
- Assist and participate in the execution of the maintenance attendant's tasks;
- Ensure customer satisfaction during and after the provision of service and handle complaints, if necessary;
- Performs all other tasks required by the nature of its function.

- Collaboration : Front Desk Manager, Sales and Marketing, Head Waiter, Executive Chef, Building Maintenance and the Management Committee.

- Verbal and written communication skills

- Knowledge and application of labor standards, basic occupational health and safety principles, and hygiene and sanitation rules.

Suggested experience and education:

- Two to three years of experience as a housekeeping attendant
- Supervisory experience is an asset.
- DEC in hotel management techniques.
- BACC in business administration, specializing in tourism and hospitality management, is an asset.
